Deposit funds from newly booked inmates into EZ's booking kiosk
EZ Card & Kiosk (little or no cost to the jail) will install a self service
kiosk in the lobby and booking department of your jail. Booking a new inmate
into the jail currently requires all monies to be counted and recounted several
times. With EZ's booking kiosk, the arresting officer will deposit all of the new
inmate's cash and coin into EZ's booking kiosk. The kiosk will print out a wallet
sized receipt with the total amount deposited into the kiosk which should then be
inserted in the inmate's property bag. At this point the jail personel can load
the inmate's deposited funds into the jail's inmate accounting software.
The jail can use the real-time reports on our website to verify the booking transaction.
Receipts can be reprinted from our website by the jail at a later date. EZ Card
& Kiosk guarantees those funds as soon as they appear on our real-time report.
Upon release, this can be as little as a few hours, the jail can load the inmate's
trust account funds directly onto EZ's exit card, which
is a pin-based debit card, and the now ex-inmate will have the funds immediately available for withdrawal
from over 900,000 ATM's nationwide.
The only requirements to a jail wanting to use our self service kiosk is a high-speed
internet line (cable or DSL) and an electrical outlet.
